A month long narcotic investigation concluded this week with the arrest of several Independence, Kansas, residents. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, with assistance from the Coffeyville Police Dept, served a narcotic search warrant at 405 North 11th, in Independence, Kansas. This search warrant was served on 09/27/2011. During this search warrant, Officers located evidence that Methamphetamines were being manufactured at this residence. While searching the residence, Officers located methamphetamine manufacturing paraphernalia, methamphetamines, drug distribution paraphernalia, drug use paraphernalia, and marijuana.
Three Independence Residents were arrested this week in connection with this investigation. The following people were arrested this week in connection with this investigation. The following people were arrested on warrants for Conspiracy to Manufacture a Controlled Substance.

- Clancey D. Pierce W/M Independence, Kansas
- Russell D. Morgan W/M Independence, Kansas
